No, but I would insult them and make jokes at their expense.

No, if you can’t afford to throw a party, don’t.

If you want them to bring food or drinks, state that in the invitation.

If you need to charge money for a party you have no business having one.

Are you throwing the party, a-hole? If so, what's so special about your Superbowl party that folks should pay to attend?

Maybe you gotta a good reason. Maybe you don't. Cough it up.

They'll turn around and tell the NFL you're not advertising it as The Big Game Party.

Nobody wins.

This. In fact, unless I’ve expressly asked someone to bring something beforehand, I hate it when people bring stuff to any party that I’m throwing.

You should hand out wristbands to the men and let the wives in free

Kick the husbands that refuse pay out and tax their wives’ asses after the game

If throwing a party is out of your budget I can’t imagine the type of person you would invite to said party.

Tell them beforehand and they can decide if they want to come.

I'm sure you are not serious, but I'll use this thread to say you should never show up to a party empty handed. You can always bring something. Even if it's just ice.

I would never charge people for a party I’m hosting unless there was some sort of special expensive dish that everyone had previously agreed upon. I would also never go to a party where I’m charged to attend. If forced to pay for attending one, my friendship with that person would effectively end that day.

A cover charge for a super bowl party? Do you have strippers?

A host's duty is to provide food, drink and entertainment.

A guest's duty is to bring a gift for the host and offer to bring something novel or assist.

These are the ancient laws
