Is there any way to find out if a house is Section 8?

Long story short. We have had some turnover of neighbors in our middle class neighborhood. We know that at least two of the houses are rentals and the people there now did not take care of the property over the summer and I’m worried about there being Section 8 in our neighborhood and if we should get out now.

How bout you ask them what kind of work they do
If they say nothing, you have your answer
Sorry you live in the ghetto

If you even have to ask that question you should have moved atleast 10 years ago

Just put an unattended bicycle in your yard and observe what happens.

If it looks like this, it is probably section 8.

What city? The housing authority in your area should have a list. Check out their website or give then a call.

There should be a government mandated sign in front of every house/building that is Section 8, names of who live there and why.

Section 8 vouchers follow the tenant, not the house

The neighborhood is less than 10 years old and in a good part of BR. Never even thought there was a chance this could happen.

If you have problems, report them to the housing authority. I have a section 8 house on my block. A tenant cussed me out for petty foolishness in the middle of the day on a Sunday when I was 9 months pregnant. I reported them and they had to move.

Sorry your property value has taken a hit.

Be honest, you always knew you were pretty delicate.
A couple unkempt lawns has you pretty stressed. Or is there something else you are trying not to say?

Was it really that simple?

Do they have to abide by certain rules?
