That will save me like $5.49 a month.

Some of the crunchy folks are upset because they love the planet and stuff. I read that only 1% of the shite people put on the curb actually gets recycled.

Recycling is mostly a scam. More inefficiencies occur as a result of waste than just landfilling it.

They get to just pick it up directly off the road where most people throw it now.

Why do you associate green policies with liberals?

I’m pretty pro green in many many regards and I see it as being actually a conservative cause.

Not really any difference. Lazy trash can't handle single-stream recycling anyway so it mostly winds up in the landfill. Y'all treat the cans as just an extra garbage can even though they emboss instructions on the lid in simple English.

The best thing about recycling in most places is the extra trashcan you get.

Municipal recycling programs are usually a slush fund for city leaders to steer recycling contracts to their friends.

I remember the LSU dining hall had a place for you to bring batteries to recycle. People just threw their food waste in there.

People are so fricking spoiled. I am not innocent. At all. But it absolutely is evil how we approach waste.

The way the world approaches food is evil.

Those approaches are pretty linked IMO

Where I worked they had separate waste baskets for plastic bottles & cans. They had green garbage bags in the to note they were recyclable. I asked the janitor what they did with the green bags. They put them in the trash compactor with the black bags. LOL. CEO thought she was saving the planet.

It's mostly good just for having a second can to pile all the boxes in so it doesn't clog up my other can.

But our recycling service blows. We just went 6 weeks without a pickup.

Recycling is a great idea. Too bad most stuff goes to the same Republic Waste landfills ;or whichever waste company supported the mayor to get the local contract).

When i briefly lived in Auston they had a dude riding in the trailer and he was hand sorting everyones shite as the other guy threw it in.

Now in Houston, if my can is not within 4 degrees of 90 to the curb they will pass me by and blacklist me for a month.

The bins were great. I used them to hold all of my kids' sports balls and some equipment.
