I have googled for luggage repair shops in Metairie, Kenner and New Orleans, but coming up empty. All I have found are shoe repair and when I call the shop, I am told that all the shop does is repair shoes.

There used to be a shop in Kenner, but I'm talking 20 years ago and now I cannot locate it.

Any shop suggestions is appreciated

If you can’t find anywhere near NOLA, there are several in Austin. I’d be happy to help with the logistics of that, just let me know.

If you haven’t, try calling this guy, he’s done repairs for me other than shoes.

Thanks Tuscaloosa.....I might email you if nothing comes up for me. The luggage took a beating this last month, with wheels and handles broken, zippers torn. With the wheels, the luggage itself cracked around the base, so might be time for new luggage. But, you know me, cheap bastard

Is this some heirloom or specialty piece? How much could you be saving with this search?

By the time the repairs are done it’s going to be roughly half Gucci luggage

Neither a heirloom or specialty piece although the luggage was purchased by my deceased wife. That has nothing to do with the repairs. I just like the luggage and wanted to see if the pieces could be repaired. Really has nothing to do with the price of repairs or purchase of new luggage, just these pieces have worked great for years. If it costs more to repair than purchase new pieces, then guess I will drag my old arse to a store and buy new luggage.

I bought a new set to go over seas and some where from London to Athens some baggage handler decided to test his strengh and dented the shite out of one of the corners. I sent a picture to Samsonite and they replaced the case gratas.

A nice set of hard case is 350 bucks if you only need 1 case go to Marshall's
$60.

People don't repair luggage anymore unless it's leather cased.

Plastic bodied stuff is really hard to fix and suitcases are cheap.

You'll likely pay more for repair than fix.

I'm very glad to learn that there are places that will repair our luggage and our "dress" shoes. I thought that all of those places were now extinct.
