Best reason to not donate your organs.

I’m a donor, because when I’m dead dead I would hope I can at least save someone else.

But the thought of doctors getting over eager and immediately jumping to that conclusion is fricking terrifying.

Why did he put an asterik in the word dead like it's a curse word?

Yea, there are some serious questions that need to be answered.

Brain death testing requires two different physicians in order to reach that conclusion.

Where in the process did things go wrong?

Social media sometimes demonetizes or hides posts with certain words like suicide, murder, dead, etc.

The real story is that the overzealous organ procurement nurse was in the OR demanding the physicians proceed and it was the physicians who said no, we are not doing this.

And this is the problem… people with “organ donor” on their profile tend to find that doctors aren’t going to give them their best work.

My wife had a few family members who had organ donor on their license and the hospital was eager to pronounce them dead to take out their organs instead of doing all they can to keep them alive as opposed to her some of her other family members who did not have organ donor on their license and were kept around a lot longer.

I have an immediate family member thats been a mortician their entire adult life and they quietly but deeply advise against organ donation.

There is a Ticker Carlson podcast that talks a little about organ donation and how drs readily push it because it’s such big money for the hospital

Well even though you might be dead there is still much we dont know about the dying process and how much "awareness" may still be going on in the brain. I'm an organ donor but its still a terrifying thought that in their last moments, even after being declared legally dead, some folks might have some sense of what's happening to them.
