Does anyone know of organizations that will move approximately 2 bedrooms of furniture. She mentioned that in Az you can contact firemen to help move furniture?

Abba Movers has treated me very well in the past, I’d check with them

as long as you're packing, might as well move out of BR.

Rent a UHaul and call a temp agency. They’ll send a couple guys over and charge 4 hours minimum, but it’s cheaper than movers.

Be adventurous and show some leadership. Go to Home Depot parking lot with Google Translate app and make it happen.

Sure there are lots of "2 Guys and a Van" type options you can find on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
I get them occasionally where I live to move record collections.

There is a group of firefighters in Hammond that do this on their off days. I would imagine there is a similar group in the BR area.

Have you tried college hunks movers/junk haul. I had them handle 2 small jobs. First was half a load of haul away junk was less than $300 and then they moved my mom from her condo to an assisted living. I had everything boxed and ready. Was like $400 with tip. Took less than half a day for the move. They are locally owned and very responsive.

People think they can go to Home Depot parking lot and pick up illegals to work for cheap. Last time I was there which was 6 months I needed 2 guys to move an evicted tenants furniture to the front lawn. I kid you not that they wanted $100 for 2 hours of work….Each.

Others have mentioned, I’ve had Abba movers help me twice.
For the question you asked, the U-Haul.com website can connect you with people to help you load or unload. Often firemen, students or handymen types. I’ve used that service too.

Yeah, just call BRFD and tell them what you need to move and they usually send a few people out within 2 or 3 hours.
