New study finds 12x higher risk of suicide attempt for post-surgery trans patients

So that study and finding must be vs non trans people. Number doesn’t surprise me. They need help but you’ll hear it’s because people don’t accept them and their delusions. It’s your fault.

I always assumed trans surgery was deliberately destructive and they were simply seeing how many people would go along with it.

Makes sense. Anyone going to that length to change their bodies is already having a lot of issues. I'd have to imagine people that unwantingly go through similar issues (burns, amputations, ect) probably have similar suicide rates.

Its the most insane phenomenon Ive witnessed. Grown people pushing children into permanent body modifications because they are uncomfortable.

I make the assumption that "trans kids" are either abuse victims or on the autism spectrum.

But isn’t the purpose of the surgery to “fix” their body dysphoria? Seems to me their suicide rates should be similar to the general population after surgery if it’s really solving the issue.
