Outdoor tv: Any moisture issues?

So, I just hung an old tv on my deck. It's completely covered and will never get wet, but will be exposed to southern humdity. Anyone had any issues with that? Or as long as it doesnt get wet you're good? It's old, so Im not real worried about, more curious if I upgrade later.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I think a lot of people just get a cheap TV. Last 2 or 3 years and get another.

Got a cheap 65” walmarks tv on black friday
5 years still works fine
I do have it in a cabinet that somewhat protects it

Get a cloth cover for it when not in use, it’ll be fine

TVs are so cheap now just replace down the road when needed. They will last a long time if under an overhang and aren’t getting direct moisture on them

It'll be fine as long as it doesn't get rained on

Cheap or old TV is what I always put outside, really surprised at how long they last to be honest. I hate saying it, but, the truth is a cheaper model with more features will be the replacement.
I'm on year 4 of a Samsung smart TV i repaired, it'll probably die tomorrow now....

I have a cousin who recently finished an outside bar he had built. He installed two TVs. They are Visio. He said based on what he read Visio is a good brand for an outdoor TV.. Whatever that means..

Hisense are pretty good for their price.

I got 7 years on my last Toshiba FireTv. Just replaced it with a larger one this January. I needed the upgrade anyway after all that time.
Of course when I told the guy at Best Buy what I wanted 7 years ago, he tried to upsell me on an outdoor one that cost at least $1000 more than I paid. Glad I didn't listen to him.

When I moved into my house in MD I really wanted to put a tv on the screened porch. I looked at outdoor tvs and was surprised at the price $2500 for a 55 inch. The prior owners of my house left three older flat panel tvs behind, so I just hung one of those outside. It's covered, but it gets pretty hot in the summer, and pretty cold in the winter. Each lasted a couple of years and eventually just crapped out. I bought an 'outdoor' tv from Walmart last year for about $500 and so far so good. But as others have said, tvs are so cheap now, if you don't have really extreme temps, a regular tv will probably last a few years.

I've had a cheap Toshiba on my patio since 2020. It gets splattered with water every time it rains. I have to wipe bird shite off of it every now and then but it's still working.

I've got a Vizio going on 6 years. I used to keep a cover on it but it became a PITA, so I leave it off. I've been impressed, I can buy 10 regular (no frills) TVs for the price of one Sunbrite TV.

I have one on my covered back deck and one under my back deck on my patio. Never had any issues as long as they weren’t getting rained on.
One is a little bit older Samsung that I no longer needed inside. The other is a Roku TV I bought on Amazon pretty cheap.

Put a Vizio outside where it didn’t get wet. Lasted 8 years until I took it down for a hurricane and cracked it myself. I got a Samsung up three years ago and it has a small black line, pretty sure from where I sprayed it with the pressure washer. 55” and 75”, total cost of around 1100. I wouldn’t think twice about getting anything more expensive

I'm going on 7 years plus. Got a 65", not a cheap one. Maybe I got lucky.

You can buy a lot of cheap TVs for the price of an “outdoor” tv

I had a Toshiba TV survive 11 years outdoors with no cover and no problems. It finally blew down in one of the hurricanes (Ida, I think).
