I remember a rainy day, decades ago.
The rope was wet, been sitting out in the weather.
I made a slipknot and placed the loop next to a tree. When my brother came running out I pulled that rope tight and he fell like a sack of potatoes.
I threw the wet rope on the electric fence and watched him jump and jolt for a little bit. It was funny at the time.
No wonder he shot me. I deserved it. Miss you bubba

I had a run in with an electric fence once. While visiting relatives in North Carolina my 4 year daughter decided to fall into a stream which had an electric fence to keep sheep out of the stream. I jump in to save her and didn't even see the wire until it was to late. It shocked the shite out of me but we both made it out. I know CSB

It’s a right of passage in the country. You pee on an electric fence and you grab one at least once.
There are several other “country” rights of passage a teenage goes through growing up but that’s another topic for another day.

Spent many boring summer days doing dumb shite like that growing up around the Bluebonnet swamp back in the 50’s. Lots of great memories that give us old farts a good laugh today.

Grew up on a dairy farm here in Mississippi. Had many a run in with electric fences throughout the years. I've peed on and grabbed them but the worst was crawling under one, came up to early, and got my head fried so much smoke came out. Damn thing wouldn't let me go. Another time one morning the damn cows had ran through it and broke it. I had to cut the grass right beside it before it was fixed. Got to close to it ,the mower wrapped it up, and it kept shocking me through the mower until I jumped off and unplugged it. I despise those things with every element of my being.
