So on a whim I bought some, and the filling is half the width of the old childhood memories.

That's just all the pots talking... you don't really mean that.

You should try pop tarts.

Pop tartrs is what you eat with blowfish.

They absolutely do suck. I don’t know whether they changed or I just grew up. Last time I bought some, I ended up throwing half the box away.

I now exclusively buy Toaster Strudel.

Yeah, the s’mores ones were okay the last I had one, but otherwise they suck. I don’t know if I changed or if they did. I’m guessing they cut back on the good stuff like everyone else over the years. Gotta squeeze them pennies.

Of course they’ve changed over the years. They actually used whole fruit preserves in the 1980s.

Given the insane amount of sugar and calories currently in pop tarts I cant imagine they changed from when we were kids.

But yes it does seem like they had 2x the filling back then

the fact that you even consider consuming pop tarts as an adult speaks volumes fatty

Toaster strudels beat a pop tart any day.

The good news is they are still just as unhealthy as they were when you were a kid!

Unpopular opinion: Pop Tarts always sucked. Never thought much of them even as a kid. Toaster strudels were far superior.

When you have kids you realize a lot of the food and treats you enjoyed as a kid yourself really suck. Then you also realize how dumb kids are. They’ll pass on a nice steak to eat Dino nuggets.

Same issue with everything, shrinkflation. In this case they have a “super stuffed” pop tart that is basically original pop tart, and now original pop tarts have less filling

Nothing tastes the same. Even mayonnaise isn’t any good.
