Jesus Christ would have shared a meal with those people as well
Yes, but would surely have called out their sin as sin. Would have forgiven the penitent and cautioned them to sin no more. But He would have not celebrated the sin in any manner.

What? I don’t think this is what the Catholics believe. Catholics view the Pope as the successor of Peter.

Jesus would have seen modern leftists and said "okay, there's a line to this forgiveness thing."

If the Catholic Church is going to be saved, it will be by the Third World. Secular Marxists in Europe are destroying the Church.

We saw this show in the enlightenment and then again in the early 20th century. The Church will be fine.

What makes you think pope Francis approved of the sins or the lifestyle?

No call to repentance, no call to Christ.

There currently are married priests already. Had one in my parish. Was a Methodist convert with wife and kids. It can be done.

Every soul starts there. Duration is the variable based on repentance.

Completely Eisegetical as is a lot of Catholic teachings.

I would rather a bishop from the Philippines be the Pope than someone from a nation that has the highest rates of civil conflict in the entire world.

He did NOT. He was a universalist who stated as much in Singapore. Universalism and its approval will send many to Hell.

I don’t think I can support the above statement

Consider this

What happened to the souls of those that died days before Jesus rose from the dead?

Did they go to hell?

What about the people in the far East who had never heard of Jesus and died around the same time that he rose from the dead? Did they go to hell?

I believe only Anglican priests and eastern rite priests that were already married and convert to Catholicism can stay married while being priests. Could be wrong

Hate to make it sound like all the political hype of "this election cycle could mean the end of democracy" BUT...... what the catholic church does in deciding who is the next pope could put the church back in correct direction or in the socialist direction pope Francis took it. It's at a fork in the road if I had to guess.
