Was it Wilsons then they sold it and demolished the old one? They used to have a stereo room at Cortana location. Sorta related: Tell me about the green stamps...

Remember the old Service Merchandise stores?
I remember the one near Bon Marche had a legit toy section. IIRC it was close to Children's Palace, which was also legit (that may have been by Cortana).
Children's Palace was across from Cortana. White with red castle tops. I saved and bought bought an electric machine water gun there that broke after a week. I regret that purchase.

Reward stamps were stamps you collected at different retail outlets. They were a like a rewards program that was given at different retail outlets. When you collect X amount of stamps you could redeem them for other items. Sometimes you had to go to a Stamp store to redeem your merchandise or you could order it from a catalog.
Some stores would have double stamp days, or you could collect a super stamp that had a higher value for purchasing different qualifying items.
Here is a YouTube Video on S&H green stamps.
Unfortunately, I am too young to remember the heyday of stamps, I wasn’t born yet, but I do recall going to a store that handed out Quality Stamps. Any one from South Lafourche will remember getting them at the Ledet’s grocery stores in Larose and Galliano. Those stores are long gone. I think they closed in the early 1990’s or late 1980’s.
