Not retired yet, but I was hoping to at age 60 till the democrats took over. Now, who knows with everything doubling in price and healthcare costs skyrocketing.

I have a desk job, but have learned to get up regularly and take time to walk, exercise, etc. It helps keeping me from going crazy staring at a computer all day.

I'm 30 with no family. If I never marry, I'm done with this shite by 55. Make decent money and am saving most of it.

I retired from the military at age 49. I am working now until my 11th grader is out of High School and then I'm done. I'll be 52.

I know the military isn't for everyone but you can't really beat the retirement and benefits.

Quit working in my mid-late 40s. I left money on the table, but I couldn't be happier.

I love my job, I intend to work until I can't, there are days when it's tempting to pull the trigger but I step back and look at the big picture and keep plugging along

Retired at 55. Worked 32 years for Entergy in their power generating plants. 18 years in fossil plants and 14 years in both nuclear plants in Louisiana. I was an electrician. I hated every minute working in the nuclear plants but I always told myself it was providing a nice living for my family and I. But as soon as I turned 55 I retired. That was the earliest I could

I tried a "practice retirement" at 55, found out quickly it wasn't for me, yet

My old man was a plant baw for 42 years. He's been retired for 8 years and loves doing jack shite.

I have at least 14 years left. Could be a few more depending on how things roll. Either way I won't be working past 60.

Wife and I are 50. She will retire when all the kids are done with college in a little less than 3 years. I plan to sell my business and work less around 60 or 61. I love what I do, so doubt I’ll ever completely quit working.

My husband is also a carpenter and does handyman stuff for pay occasionally. He's also learned to enjoy cooking. I've really enjoyed him being home; his job was very stressful the last five years, and his mood has improved a lot.

Do you like to eat cat food?

If not....save as much as possible and hold off on retirement until after this period of rapid inflation is over.

I'd be bored out of my mind to be honest. I'd have to do something....even if it's just making repairs and doing lawn maintenance for my rent houses.
