Ridge Vents leading to Snow entering attic

Couple of neighbors have mentioned water in attic via snow through vents…just a heads up

Pro tip: If you don’t go up there and look it never happened.

If you are getting significant snow in ridge vents, then they were built poorly. A little snow will melt and not be an issue.

It should be very, very little moisture due to this.

They have the same roof vents all over snow country. I’ve never had a moisture issue from it.

True statement. If you ignore leaks, they seem to go away on their own.

Yep. Just went into my shop that is uninsulated with metal roof.
Line of snow in the center. All on some cabinets that I plan to deliver this week lol. Glad I went to check

A bit early for the problem to arise. This will be a huge problem in South Louisiana by Wednesday/Thursday.

Nah

Bigger problem is gonna be flat roof structures like carports collapsing

Yeah

Some drips will get in

But those houses get it worse in a heavy rain event
