While I’m glad we’re getting our people back, I hate to see what we gave up.

Me, too.

But it's good to get innocent people back.

They went to Russia on their own free choice. Then they want us to swap actual criminals, spies, and terrorists for them.

They don't sound very innocent to me.

Could you repeat that? It was a little garbled with Putin's dick in your mouth.

How do you know they are not innocent???? Just because you travel to another country doesn’t mean you should be treated like they have. Now Griner did commit a crime.

So before there is a celebration, what was exchanged?

Russia isn’t just releasing prisoners cause they just felt like being nice

Glad they’re getting released. But it’s a problematic signal to send to the world that you can get what you want out of the US by snatching and imprisoning our citizens. It’s going to keep happening.

Guessing couple that were convicted in Slovenia of spying for Russia are a part of this. Writing was on the wall when they were sentenced to time served.

Prisoner swaps and arresting people/spies for leverage has been around for a very long time. Of course it will keep happening.

OT: why didn't they release the others?

OT: complains about that too.

I dont know anything about the former marine, but Gershkovich was a fricking reporter dude. Not some clandestine spy.

They should have been the prisoners we got released long before Griner. Griner for the Merchant of Death set a precedent and gave Russia the leverage over this administration.
