The speed limit for electric bikes is 15 miles per hour. An electric standing scooter — one that doesn’t have a seat — is illegal in New York City if it has the capability of traveling more than 20 m.p.h.
The photos of the crash site appear to show a Teverun Blade GT Suit II+ e-scooter, billed on the company’s website as a “wolf in a suit” that can reach almost 53 m.p.h.

Know someone that got hit by an e-bike going the wrong way in the bike lane on government street. Must have been going 30 and t-boned vehicle pulling out of a parking lot. Dude got laid out on the ground.

Almost got winged by a grown man on an E Bike this morning. Moron was hauling arse at car speeds on a neighborhood sidewalk. No clue why he wasn’t in the street on a 25 MPH road.

Idiots in Atlanta will fly down the road against traffic on the Lime/Byrd scooters. Surprised more haven't been unalived in this fashion.

All the bike riding nazis out there are about to have a new common enemy besides normal people driving cars: the e-scooter.
You thought you had it bad driving in and out of fricking traffic with your hand signals, and pedaling in between 2 vehicles going 20 mph in a 45 mph zone. Now you get to watch out for the same things we've been having to avoid.

In BR, on the levee, it’s the E-bikes. Typically, the cyclists are normal weight or less, the people on e-bikes can be obese. They can fly down the levee, it’s probably a matter of time before someone get smashed.
