Dumb.

You can get a house that is just as nice in a decent area of metro Los Angeles for the same price.

Didn't see your original post but I think I got the point.

I remember for years there was a rumor that Real Housewives was coming to NO and she was a lock for it.

Look at the listing history. That house couldn’t even sell for $369k 5 months ago. And now they’re asking $670k?

Clearly they didn’t gut it in the last 5 months as it doesn’t look like it’s been updated since the 80s. What the f*ck are they thinking?

Well yes it needs to be gutted but that is a pretty desirable location. Anything new construction in Metairie that is 4000 ft living is going to be north of $1mm.

You talking about Castellon’s ex or Guidry’s?

Yep

He is tight with cynthia LEE Sheng and Jennifer Van Vrsnken and generally gets what he wants in Jeff parish.

He had a fleet of offshore vessels from his dad that he expanded to be quite impressive and sold to a hedge fund for hundreds of millions until the oil crash and then had to go bankrupt and restructure.

His dad, Robert, was friends with Edwin edwards and when licenses were being given for riverboat casino’s Robert bribed Edwards and got a license to open a riverboat casino in a Kenner which he quickly sold for a cool 90 million to a national casino operator. When the feds indicted Edwards, Guidry turned states evidence and ratted out Edwards in exchange for house arrest.

He lived at the top of canal place in a giant penthouse.
The competitor for that same license- none other than Al Copeland who lost out in the deal which it turned out he would never have won anyway.

One night in Morton’s steakhouse a fistfight broke out between Al Copeland and Robert Guidry and his 2 sons One of which was Shane. The fbi was monitoring that situation and got Al to testify too

It was his trashy ex wife that wanted that house.....Shane didnt want to build a house that gaudy.

Let’s not pretend Shane and his dad are the epitome of class, but yes, that house was mostly his ex-wife’s touch.

No, you can’t. You can get a McMansion that appears to be as nice for a similar price, but there is a huge difference between a spec home and a custom home. That stone veneer might add a million dollars; the slate roof could add half a million. Trim, fixtures and other finishing could add millions as well.

I assure you the high end stuff could be pulled from that house and the construction price might be halved, and the average OT Baller would hardly notice the difference.

yea it was a ridiculous rumor that didn't originate with her. I think she was just being stereotyped as that sort of trophy wife, but she always seemed nice to me.
