Treated and released. Wonder if she went back to finish her meal. For some reason this comment rubbed me the wrong way. Not you, but just how these thugs are shooting people and life just goes on. They need to be executed on the spot if/when caught. We need to stop catering to the low end of society.

Without watching the video, could I already accurately the race and likely gender of this shooter?

The first thing I heard in the video was "black male in a white shirt"

This was at the 10th street station- about as white as you can get on a Marta line in Atlanta.

I used to use this station multiple times a week about 10 years ago. It’s gotten worse but it was never great.

Only reason why it isn’t Memphis 2.0 is because of Georgia Tech and Delta Airlines.

I take it you've never been to Atlanta before? I'm struggling to figure out how tech being in downtown somehow elevates the city. Are you saying the crime and overall shittiness would somehow be worse if the campus was like a green space or something instead?

While in college 4 of us would go to the SEC basketball tournament and stay out in Doraville and use Marta for all the travel in and out.

Led to a couple of interesting encounters over that time.

Before ticket sites, yes I'm old, we decided to go sell our championship game tickets and it took till basically tip to dump them. On the way back, there's no basketball riders and dude and his chick get on a couple stops away from the Dome with a couple of plates of food. One stop later, a guy steps on the train, looks around and immediately gets off, this dude sees this and realizes he knows the guy apparently but the doors already closed, jumps up, hits doors, comes back by ol gal and starts yelling. Can't belive that's him. I've been looking for him. As we approach the next stop, tells her, I'm gonna go kill that mother fricker, bitch hold my chicken, and jumps out and takes off sprinting as soon as we stop.

One more, coming back from the late game one night, trains were really empty... there are some Hispanic dudes talking....Spanish, Spanish, Spanish, Spanish, Gringos. Our ears perk up and look around, we're the only gringos on the train. Decided to get off at next stop to try and just change to another car... they did the same. They Followed us through another change, watching us often, but finally got off a stop before us. I don't know why they didn't try anything, but they were dang sure considering it. Got lucky that night.

well yeah. all mass transit in this country has been ruined by non taxpayers, despite being funded by taxpayers because certain politicians refuse to allow police departments to do their job.

Two things can be true at the same time. People need to be outraged about the Beltline stabbings and the Marta stabbing and now this, and the city government needs to figure it out.

Also true is a lot of people on this board seem to be using these anecdotes to reconfirm their beliefs about big cities being Democrat-run shite holes and the world is going to hell. A bunch of drama queens. The niche hate for big cities is just bizarre and being driven by people who are way too into politics and have allowed politics to become a big part of their personality.

A few years ago the city of Atlanta went the first 6 months of the year with out a white homicide, out of a population of 190,000. The white homicide rate for Atlanta still comes in below the national white homicide rate most years. Half of the white murders are probably suburban gangsters trying to do a dope deal in the hood.

Anyone who visits Atlanta and is "watching their 6" and afraid of getting stabbed or shot would have to be a raging pansy and their brain has been conditioned by social media and the news that everything and everyone is trying to hurt them and they should go through life scared. All of the beta flaming liberals who live there don't walk around in fear and acting like pansies lol, but tough guys on the internet think that they'd have to.

Well, it’s obviously ok that it happened, then. Everyone should expect to be shot while having lunch every once in a while. As long as you survive, amirite?

If somebody corrects a post that has misinformation, they automatically are saying that it's no big deal.

What kind of third grade tard thinking is that?

I don't disagree with you, but you're continuing to put inaccurate information out there. There was no gun involved in this incident. There probably should have been.
