So nice to see them use common sense.

absolutely hated the plastic cups, had no idea why they changed but hated it

They changed it to please the environmentalist.

My local smoothie store swapped over to lips with a 'drinkable' option in light of the paper straw criticism. Of course they just wouldn't go back to plastic straws.

Not positive but I think plastic can at least be recycled and styrofoam can’t

I think plastic cups used less materials and were easier to recycle but frick hippies. They kept the drink cooler before.

I’m pretty sure those are more than 5 with the deal bc they are premium smoothies. They taste good but are terrible for you as well.

They're viofoam cups - biodegradable.

I’m not exactly sure but that was pretty much their statement when they went to plastic. They received too many complaints so they went back to styrofoam.

I don't drink smoothie king often but this makes me smile. My super environmental sister in law has become so insufferable, I've gotten to where I get pumped over shite like this!

At least it won’t be pure liquid in 5 minutes when it’s 90 degrees outside

Maybe...but spend sometime listening to her belitting speech because you don't bring your own bag to the grocery, or your own Tupperware to a restaurant for leftovers, or visit their house which does not have napkins or toilet paper and I'd imagine you'd start feeling pretty trashy too!
