True sign you're getting old and it has been way too long, Spanish Moon and The Caterie have merged in my brain. I can't remember what happened at which one, and they're barely distinguishable in my memories.

The Difference: Caterie had an incredible Catfish Acadienne lunch special

What they paid for it, well it doesn’t make sense. That’s why they hinted at other tenants. I made an offer, based on good info, but the. Moon folks declined. Good for tilt, a little disappointed I didn’t get to add that to my properties

silly me, I've been using an uncreative advertising agency all these years

Just a heads up, that’s just a descriptor to differentiate from a media agency, PR agency, etc.

That building is haunted AF after being a Civil War hospital.

I swear, several times the ghosts spiked my drinks.

That and the fact someone was electrocuted on the roof not 10 years ago. Surprised it lasted this long.

The building sold for $385,000 in a deal that closed Friday morning, said George Bonvillain, an agent with Elifin Realty who represented TILT.

Wtf is Spanish Moon? I’ve lived here for 11 years and have no idea what it is.

We moved here in 1999 and went several times spread out over the years.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't a gay bar. Splash certainly was, but not Spanish Moon?

Spanish Moon was definitely not a gay bar. At one point, they were bringing in the best rock acts in Baton Rouge. I wish I could remember all the bands I saw there, but can confirm dredg and Murder By Death.

I’ve been gone from Baton Rouge too long. I had to look up the location of the Spanish Moon to realize that you young folks are talking about Cypress Hollow.

We loved that old bar! We watched an old black artist paint a big mural on one of the walls of frogs playing blues instruments in a swamp scene. It was an instant classic!

Later, someone bought the bar and renamed it the Art Bar. The first damn thing they did was to paint over the mural in mustard yellow! “Art Bar” my asss!!!

Is that bad arse hand-carved wooden bar still upstairs? Haven’t been in that building since 2002.

Was this place a gay bar? I never been there and I remember people said it was, but then I was told it wasn't. That there is a gay bar by past time.
