Apparently they almost fought over Princess Diana in front of Elton john. Who would you have put your money on to win the altercation? lol

I couldn’t help notice a strange atmosphere in the room. Judging by the kind of looks he kept shooting them, Diana and Richard Gere’s newly blossoming friendship was not going down well with Sylvester Stallone at all,” he adds. “I think he may have turned up to the party with the express intention of picking Diana up, only to find his plans for the evening ruined.”

When it was time for dinner, John remembers that the group noticed that both Gere and Stallone were absent, and that his now-husband David Furnish discovered them “squaring up to each other, apparently about to settle their differences over Diana by having a fist-fight.”
Although Furnish was able to break things up, John notes that the tension between the trio was noticeable for the rest of the evening.
“After dinner, Diana and Richard Gere resumed their position together in front of the fire, and Sylvester stormed off home,” John writes, adding that the actor yelled that he “never would have come” if he knew “Prince f—n’ Charming was gonna be here.’ ”

The Stallone-Gere crap apparently goes back to filming Lords Of Flatbush in the 70s.

Stallone would have worked Gere over pretty good.

Couple of twinks. One is scared to fight and the other is relieved to hear it.

It's also a rumor that Stallone was the one who made up the gerbil story.
if that's true its frickin hilarious.

Doubt it, I think they’re both pussies but Stallone is about the size of a garden gnome.

A garden gnome pumped full of HGH and anabolic steroids.

Stallone could pretend box. Gere could pretend kick him in the balls like he did Louis Gossett.

They are both "listed" at 5'9 and are both 70ish. Gere was always in pretty good shape. But Stallone was really juiced up, especially around that time.. I think it would be a great fight..

Stallone came to drink in a bar I worked at back in the day. He isn't that small. I'm 6'1", but Stallone was 5'9ish and built like a MAC truck.
