Just like the Dodgers winning the World Series in 2020, this gets a giant * for doing this during covid restrictions. Do the cannonball now when commuter traffic is back to normal and people are out vacationing again.

They are previous record holders several times. They only did this because someone else went out in covid and did it first IIRC

Correct. A8L that had a similar cop setup. Tons of people mad about it because it was peak covid taking advantage of the open roads. Then these guys do it to take back the record and smashed it by I think a hour, even after stopping a 5th time.

It is.

Excellent strategy though.

Non-descript car, drive fast, avoid local yokels.

Wonder what the cannonball run record is for an EV?

The irony of it is the black Countach who made the iconic opening scenes in the movie is the very same car that made the original Cannonball guys say, “This is getting out of hand” and they cancelled it.

They we’re convinced the guy would kill himself and/or other people in the Lamborghini.

An EV wouldn’t make it out of the first state.

How do you do this and not get caught? Those speeds are jail time.

What was a typical trip time for the Oregon Trail back in the mid 19th century?
