The lack of men going to college is truly astonishing

We’ve visited 5 universities this summer so far and all of the schools are around 60-40 girls to guys. It makes you wonder if the lack of men in colleges are leading to women leaving college as entitled and self loathing individuals (more than they are generally), never really getting the experience of socially mingling with the opposite sex in their early adult years. They only hear about what men are from their communist professors who no longer work with males in their own departments because all the men left.
Is there a way to reverse this trend or do we need to totally revamp higher education?

I envy my son and no longer wonder why he may take 6-7 years to finish his degree.

We hear about all of the inequity in this world, but no one ever seems to care about all of the little boys who have been falling behind starting in middle school for decades now.

I've seen better overgeneralizing in the quad

Fewer boys in brainwashing academia is a good thing if they pursue a trade.

I wish I was one of the men who didn't go to college and went to trade school instead

And being told they have “toxic masculinity” while struggling in school

More men need to be learning trades instead of getting useless degrees. Less women need to be getting useless degrees

It's also why men's college sports get axed before the women's do

Few of those girls will work all that long. Being an old guy working in media, I've seen it many times where bright and very capable women work a few years, get married and have kids never to work again.
Not the best educational investment for society.

Melinda Gates is here to tell you that the goal is "80-20" women to men. No more families, no more children, but more careers and more abortion.

I realize my sample size is only 5 schools. I did a quick search and found reports stating the 60-40 breakdown in a national trend.

Women now comprise nearly 60 percent of enrollment in universities and colleges and men just over 40 percent, the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center reports. Fifty years ago, the gender proportions were reversed.

According to the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, in the fall of 2022, about 8.3 million women were undergraduate college students, versus 6.1 million men. Women also outnumbered men in graduate programs — 1.8 million versus 1.1 million.Note Reference [1]

Still think I’m over generalizing?

Title IX was a sign of things to come. It was literally equity for equity sake.
Women who had never set foot in canoes in their lives were getting full ride athletic scholarships for "rowing" in place of men who played soccer their entire lives.
This is unpopular but the Civil rights act truly did replace our constitution. How do you roll that back?
It's become so much more than it's original intent.

So what does this mean, and should we be concerned?

The problem is k-12 education, it’s geared entirely toward how women learn best. It’s a real issue.

College is now one of the worst investments ever. I shouldn’t have went.

Look deeper... I teach at one of the better schools in Baton Rouge. My incoming classes are 70/30 female to male. Our recruiting coordinator refuses to address the issue.
