Feminism, cost of raising children, and abortion rates are the biggest reasons, imo. Bill Gates must have a big smile on his face. Check the blue graphic to see which state’s fertility rate has fallen the least.

Selfishness. People think life is about comfort, not challenge. Not growth.

Children create "discomfort" from the level of sacrifice needed - or so people think.

Does it really matter to you? Why? No one's forcing anyone to do anything they don't want to do.

Do you hold that same mindset in every situation?

Any time anyone wants to do something, no matter how idiotic, damaging, or psychotic, it is perfectly acceptable?

Doesn’t help that a high percentage of millennial men chopped their dicks off.

To themselves? Sure. Doesn't affect me at all.

So, you don’t believe you should do anything to help your fellow man?

Not even those who are clearly deranged or psychotic?

Not even children who will harm themselves?

What's a high percentage? Grok says at most 0.4% of the american population is transsexual. Seems like an overreaction to call that a high percentage.

Great, we Louisianians haven't slown down our reproducing

You have Catholics to thank for that. And we aren’t done yet.

I see the derisive replies to the other guy who credited Catholics.

But we aren’t more black than the rest of the southern states, which all have higher dropoffs in fertility than we do.

White Catholics in Louisiana are why Louisiana has comparitively less of a drop in birth rate. Chances are if you know a family with 4 or more kids and married parents, they are Catholic, unless you are in Utah.

What does poverty and rooming together have to do with one another?

You said they room together and are “super successful”.

They are less successful than the average American.

Apparently, the “rooming together” isn’t putting them in a better position.

Yes you are lol.

You are forcing millions to accept something you do not want to accept.

A society that doesn't care about the journey or the means to which we achieve the end.

They don't want to go through any of the pain or difficulty to have good things (relationships, children, marriages, etc.), they want it all to be ready made.

They want ready made spouses, ready made high paying jobs, ready made houses, ready made everything.

They want the images and the glamour but none of the underneath, or the soul.

You can’t take everything to the extreme

I’m simply saying I have seen many share rent and work for a couple of years just to turn around and buy homes for themselves.

Uncomfortable, yes. Doable for literally anyone, yes.

I lived in lower income neighborhood for 2-3 years after college.

Then we moved to a home we bought that was 20 years old lol.

Nowadays kids don’t do this.

If you do that in Louisiana (and many other parts of the country), you’re likely to be in a neighborhood where the public schools are terrible or violent crime is an issue. I don’t blame people for not wanting to start families in those areas. If that makes me “scared,” so be it.

There are few houses for sale for <$200k south of Florida Blvd in Baton Rouge. Add in the fact that the average insurance premium is now several thousand dollars per year and the interest rates are around 7%, and you’ve got a lovely “lower income” house in a bad neighborhood for $2,000/mo.

I’m in my 40s. Things are a lot different around BR than they were even 20 years ago in terms of modest but reasonably safe areas of town are concerned.

I’m still not sure if you’re trolling or not. If so, bravo.

Also, success means different things to different people.

For me, it’s just them getting a house having kids and living happily in a better place. That’s it.

And, again, your anecdote isn’t born out in the statistics.

Anecdotes are like assholes.

There's nothing to "help" because it isn't a problem. They have gender dysphoria for which medicine does not have a cure. No type of therapy or meds will magically make the person feel comfortable in their own skin. Transitioning is the closest option to a "cure" to help them feel normal.

Higher rate of poverty, so, more don’t get that when compared to the average American.

There's nothing to "accept" or "deny." There is just the simple truth that these people exist and always will exist.
