I know what you are talking about. I have had several packages do this, recently. I ordered a plant through the mail and it sat in the same place for four days before it got delivered. It took nearly 10 days total. Somehow it managed to stay alive in the box. I'm glad that I'm not the only person experiencing this.I currently have about five pieces of mail that's late.I've never seen the mail this screwed-up.

I’m having the same issue with 6 packages getting stuck in Baton Rouge or getting sent from Baton Rouge’s distribution center to the wrong ‘next facility.’ Then being returned to Baton Rouge for redistribution.(I verified there are no issues on the sender’s end with my address). I have packages that were ordered at the end of November and took 3 days, like you said, to arrive in Baton Rouge and then be stuck for a ridiculous amount of time. ……anyway, all that to say, USPS’ Baton Rouge distribution center definitely seems to have a problem that seems to be getting worse during the holidays.

FedEx is just as bad.

FedEx needs to die a slow, painful death by fire. If there was a way for me to shop retailers based on who they use to ship items with, I’d buy from only those who ship to me with literally anyone other than FedEx.

Got a package supposedly sitting in Fort Worth for two weeks now. I registered a ticket for them to check into it but nothing so far.

I don't even trust their notices nowadays. They'll waste your time and let you down every time.

It'll get there when it gets there..

I just hope the Allbirds don't get porch pirated.

Ordered my son some shoes that have been stuck in Memphis for a week. I'm sure they will be making it under someone else's tree at this point.

I had the same thing happen in fort worth. Package got there then stopped for a week. I submitted a service ticket and it moved to delivery the next day and a lady emailed me back with:

"Your package is still in transit and is running late due to holiday volume. We do have a few post masters that drove up to the Fort Worth facility today to try and help get the packages moving so hopefully we will see your package soon."

I did the same thing when my package was stuck in Baton Rouge for a day without moving. Reported it lost. Got a call and an e-mail within hours, and it began moving again.

Update: My package that was shipped on Dec 3 and hadn't moved since December 7th was finally delivered today. I filed a complaint on Friday, today I get an email that it's resolved and boom package shows up. So if you're not getting your stuff and it's stuck in one spot for a long time, file a lost mail complaint and hopefully it will speed it up.

The worst part is you'll get no updates for 2-3 days, then boom delivered. It's a shite show.

My pkg actually made it to BR then NOLA and has left Nola and is now passing through other states. I’m in Metairie. Maybe one day it will arrive. This was ordered Black Friday weekend.

My package has been in town since 12/11 and still says “Moving Through Network In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late”

I won't add my details to the myriad other stories, and I can understand the crazy volume and shiftless workers (well, sorta understand), but why do companies like FedEx, etc ask u to complete a survey? Does anybody at these companies really look at these, analyze the problems, and take action? Highly improbable.

I’ve had this happen a lot recently. So much, in fact, that I come to expect it. Also, it matters not if your package was shipped by Priority Mail…. It will still languish in Baton Rouge for many days before being delivered. Priority Mail used to run 2-3 days. Now it’s more like 12-13.

The priority package I shipped 9th got there a week later on the 16th. Better than many on here but still probably too long for some of the live plants inside.

I will try and remember to ship UPS next year and avoid the aggravation of watching a tracker never update. Though I bet the same package with UPS might cost $35 vs the $22 for priority.

My package went about 800miles and not through BR fwiw
