anyone else constantly get this when USPS just doesn't feel like delivering a package? i get it on probably 1/3 of my deliveries these days

got it yesterday when they delivered my normal mail without issue. i guess they didn't sort things out well so the mailman lied when he checked the truck after he got back. that seems to be the similar pattern (works with the timeline, too)

at what point is this fraud?

At least they mentioned the drive way. Slightly better when they say they left it at the front desk...at my house.

It isn’t fraud because the USPS says it isn’t.

Having video footage of them not even attempting delivery, as in “parked in driveway, never exiting truck” has been used to get Amazon to lean on them and resulted in free months of Prime but everyone acknowledges that USPS does this shite to skirt date requirements on packages.

We were getting that often and I got very pissed one time and starting blowing up every USPS reporting option nationally.

Got a call from our local postmaster who told me that is what they code it when they frickup and miss the house, the package is too large to deliver that day based on the worker etc. He said there is no code for "we fricked up" and every package needs a tracking input each day.

They need new fricking codes then because if it is this much of a problem, it doesn’t need to be “hidden” under another code.

You’re a lawyer, why do you file a lawsuit?

I called Amazon from my business and asked if I could just pay for ups shipping whenever they are going to use usps, because half our packages are "left in mailbox" and then show up days later or not at all.

Eta: they wouldn't, and they have spent almost 2000 replacing items in the last 5 years, and the new policy to just replace everything is going to make this whole thing even worse, but what you gonna do.

It means they were too lazy to deliver that day and took it back for a later, more convenient delivery.

If it’s late in the day and they don’t feel like continuing, they use a couple of non-delivery codes to make an excuse, like the one you gave or “could not find address”.

I doubt they’ll use “could not find address” ay my place anytime soon, because last time I made clear that the idiot had delivered to my address twice previously in the same week.

Maybe you should solicit a class action suit then.

I’m sure that most of the 300+ million in the US have been affected at one time due to this bullshite.

They know better than to try that at my place.

Wherever I live, I’m always “the guy who mail orders tons of crap” and the postman and truck drivers know it whenever they pass my house.

No, USPS is usually pretty good where I'm at. I have a problem with FedEx. Stuff sits on their trucks for days past the delivery date.

UPS was giving issues and USPS was pretty solid until this year.
