It doesn’t make a difference to me either way. Do we want BP Oil Shrimp or do we want vietnam shanghai shrimp?

Not to mention what restaurants such as Dragos charges, it’d better not be frozen imported seafood.

Sorry guys, if it ain't south of i10 between Henderson and Crowley as far south as New Orleans along hwy 90, it ain't real cajun seafood. Cajun country pretty much.
We do like some Phil's tho.

The restaurants that ‘passed the test’ are below:
Mike Anderson’s Restaurant
Cork’s Cajun Fried Fish & Shrimp
Crawfords
Dempsey’s
Geaux Fish Market
Jubans Restaurant and Bar
Off the Hook
Parrain’s Seafood Restaurant
Phils Oyster Bar
Po Boy Express
Rice and Roux
Roux 61
Sammy’s grill
Stabs prime
The Chimes
Willies
This is honestly kind of shitty article to release, they only tested 24…17 of the 24 passed (listed above) which is good press for them.
But by not showing the 7 who failed you now have every restaurant not tested also potentially included in the failed category which is unfair

I only eat shrimp caught 3.5 miles off the coast between Dulac and Port Fourchon. The shrimpers must also speak Creole French and be wearing clean white boots with an LSU flag flying somewhere on the boat.

How many restaurants that didn't get tested are going to lose business because they're not on the good list? There's no way to know because they didn't list the bad ones. Many will assume that if you weren't on the good list it must be you. Also what if those restaurants that failed bought their seafood from a supplier who falsely claimed it was local? Stand by for lawyers.

The BP oil spill was 15 years ago this coming April. You know how many generations of shrimp have come and gone during that time.

Mike Anderson’s is legit. Everything is good.
Po Boy Expess shrimp poboy is good and the shoe string onion rings rock.
And people have an orgasm for Dempsey’s but I don’t see the big deal.

I get people are outrage about the deceptive business practice and over charging customers. But if we need to start the outrage, it’s with high fructose corn syrup first. It’s almost in everything, an unhealthy cheap sweetener, and kids are consuming at an alarming rate.
And by the way, China is not the only big player. We’re looking at India, Ecuador, Argentina, Vietnam. It’s just the global market we live in. I look at it as US getting subpar shrimp and they’re getting shitty McDonald’s and KFC. It all evens out.

Stick to crawdads fished out of the creek behind your house and you will be fine.
And I cannot stand a place serving that knockoff VC shitpond catfish.
