what to tip Jimmy Johns delivery guy?

I order Jimmy Johns to my office about twice a week. Turkey Tom with some salt and vinegar chips.
Total comes out to 8.25. I usually tip 2 dollars to the delivery guy. Is that too little? It's more than 20%, but 2 bucks does seem kind of cheap.
What says the OT?

I think it's fine. The delivery guy probably makes minimum wage. Shoot, most folks would hand 'em $10 and be done with it.

That is 24%, which sounds ok. How far is the Jimmy Johns from your office?

Salt and vinegar chips? WTF are you doing with your life. Barbecue, FTW.

$10 total is what I would have done

If I'm paying with a card anything under $10 I usually tip $2. If cash and its 8.25 he's getting a 10

Slap on the butt usually does it

Usually tip all delivery drivers $5. Regardless of total.

are you new to tipping?
$2 is fine. He's delivering sandwiches, he's not expecting $5 a trip.

I've seen "delivery fee" on my receipts.
Don't know if the driver gets any of that though.

i probably would have gave him $9.
if drew himself showed up, i'd give him no tip.

I got attacked on the food board for only tipping JJ 20%, so heads up.

Expecting and appreciating is two entirely different things not to be confused...

Here's the thing. It's more than 20% but he is also paying gas. Based on their delivery times though, I think you're alright. Unlike a pizza guy, who gets 3 or 4 deliveries an hour when busy, He probably gets 8 an hr when busy. $2 for every $8 spent seems appropriate.

he gets paid to do that job, why should you tip
