Wait a year or two, and your cellmate will hook you up.

That’s pretty obvious.

Not saying I haven’t seen better work, but by no means is that poor quality work.

I hope you understand now why asking the OT for advice on anything is like asking for life advice from a kindergarten class.

fwiw, spend twice as much time researching "Who" is tattooing you than you spend on "What" is being tattooed on you. You'll end up with less "regerts"

Another option would be this place:

Red handed tattoo

It’s in Shreveport. The building it’s in used to be a coffee shop where I did many hours of studying. Id stay there all damn day sometimes. It’s now a tattoo place. It’s be neat to get a tattoo there just for the nostalgia.

"A good tattoo artist" does not compute

Really?

For some reason I watched a bunch of tattoo videos on youtube. It was some competitive tattoo show.

There are some amazing tattoo artists out there.

I'm not into tattoos. Don't have any on me, and probably never will.

Here's a quick video from Buzzfeed. Does comparisons of cheap vs middle vs expensive stuff. This episode is about tattoos.

Electric Ladyland on Frenchman St. does some very good work. I'm sure someone there could knock those out easily.

Smoke da tattoo man and his woman broke up for like the tenth time in the last two weeks. Their life is the epitome of a white trash soap opera and they air it all out for everyone to see on Facebook. They are now both begging for shelter, food, and even minutes for their phone.

You really wouldn't need a top notch guy for those.

Yeah, if you go to a good tattoo artist, have the dignity to get them as part of a larger piece.

A serious, top tattoo artist will want to do work he or she can be proud of, not a stencil thing where the only requirement is not screwing up a line.

If you're serious, give a good artist a call and ask them to do a piece based off the Rod of Asclepius. I could see a legit artist putting an artistic spin on a common symbol like that, and at least that one has something to put a spin on.

This reminds me an older comedian I heard recently on SiriusXM. Not word for word but he said when he was growing up if he met someone in his 20's that had a tattoo is was because he was in the military and perhaps a prisoner of war. Now when he sees a 20-something with a tattoo he wonders what his favorite IPA is and is he a vegan or maybe allergic to gluten.

I was just thinking that I have a couple of uncles that could hook up the OP with some shady parlors in Da Nang.

I do plan to get a more complex Asclepius tattoo. I was just using that pic for reference.

Here’s a better one that’s more what I’m looking for:

But with color and a Coral snake

And this without the words and grid lines and green not red.

Look mister doctor man, just because you finished your fancy sawbones college doesn’t mean you get to go around Making up words.

“Ooooh, look at me, I’m a Doctor. Can I get a tattoo of an ouroboros and a caduceus.”

See, other people can make up words too.

I’m taking baby steps here. I’m not ready to go full trash.
