National cemeteries where veterans are buried do the double burials so that married folks can be buried together. It's what my in-laws chose, and he had the last word.

Could always do like they do in India. Dead are burned in funeral pyres on the banks of the "Sacred Ganges River" and what's left is tossed into the river to be carried downstream. It is estimated that over 30K bodies are cremated annually on its banks.

There are always parts of bodies floating in that cesspool of a sacred river.
