Why is Easter nor Good Friday not recognized as a work or bank holiday in US?

MLK, Memorial Day, Labor Day…examples yet no Jesus.

Other parts of the world recognize Easter in their work structure. Not US.

Why?

There's a bill in the US Senate to make Easter Monday a federal holiday.

They’re religious holidays and not secular. Easter also falls on a weekend, so it’s not necessary for it to be recognized as a federal holiday.

Christmas is a religious holiday, is it not?

I've always found it funny that secular af Germany still has so many religious holidays as federal holidays but we get responses like yours when someone brings up Good Friday.

ETA: They not only recognize Good Friday but Easter Monday as public holidays. That's right-- half the country considers itself irreligious but they make a 4 day weekend out of the most significant Christian holiday of the year. And the 50% that is religious, well, it doesn't serve to dig deeper but let's just say they ain't all doing the sign of the cross

Because the joos run the banking industry.
They murdered Jesus and hung him up in a tree.
And, they would do it again today if given the chance.
