You Tube- 15 minute video

I posted this video in another topic but it really deserves it's own thread. It's not that Louisiana doesn't have the resources, it's just the way we do business and continue to do business. I think incentives for business are great, but when they are unique in the nation in their gravity and resulting failure, it needs to change. So many things are unique about Louisiana...but not all of them are good.

I'll expect the usual responses of

1. Not watching a 15 minute video
2. Denigrating the woman speaking
3. Denigrating the man speaking and his pronunciation
4. Taxes are evil and the commie government gets enough
5. What else is going to attract business to Louisiana?

If you just take the truth of what they're saying and react to that- that would be a good thing, but I don't expect it.

Let the downvotes commence!!

I didn't watch anything, but this is true, and I won't consider otherwise.

mainly because people like you who have no clue how business makes money, how they chose a location etc believe low iq propaganda like you just posted

let me break it down for you....we are in direct competition with states like texas who offer a more competitive environment...only way to get these kinds of projects is to off incentives to directly compete, otherwise they just go to texas

so....

delay gratification for 10 years and get a huge influx of jobs, sales tax revenue, property taxes etc in the mean time and get a huge dump into tax revenue in 10 years

or

get nothing

which one sounds like the better plan?

because it is 100% the 2 choices

LA stays poor because we have a high % of minorities, a high % of uneducated poor whites who have no desire to improve their lot in life and we have a terrible business climate. Add in things like high crime, high violent crime, high sales tax, state income tax, corruption, and you have a recipe for staying poor.

but yea im sure its the policies that has allowed places like Lake Charles to flourish....not the other things i mentioned.

It’s a state where the majority of the population values sports and welfare more than building careers. Combine that with the fact that Louisiana has a history of electing the most corrupt governors imaginable, and that’s why the state is where it’s at right now.

John Bel Edwards is California-level bad when it comes to making boneheaded decisions. Pardoning convicted murders is exactly something Newsom would do.

Save yourselves some time watching that video and just read this board for 5 minutes and you'll easily understand why.

Democrats live in and run that area they are talking about.

Democrats also gave us shitty deals on our natural resources. Also democrats want us to stop using some of these resources that come from Louisiana.

100%

80% of the state, no matter the color of their skin, views educated and working in anything that isnt blue collar as something to look down upon.

go to a city like Ville Platte, Alexandria, or down the bayou and its very very obvious most could not care any less about bettering themselves.
