This tipping crap is ridiculous nowadays. I know, beating a dead horse with this, but it needs to be said from the rooftop. The nerve of a drive thru worker asking for a tip is enough to make me never want to eat from the establishment again. She’s swiping my card and handing food to me - I’m sorry but that is worth whatever she’s being paid to do it and nothing more.

End rant.

Would you like to tip 10%, 15%, or 20% for my reply in your thread?

Usually no tip. If I do leave one I select the customize tip or whatever and just put $1.

I still can’t believe how outraged some of you stay about tipping

Black people set the trends for everything. We weren't tipping when it wasn't cool.

No. I don’t. But I did slip the guy at the pizza place $5 last night when I picked up bc I wanted pizza and they were open after the storm on a street that had been flooded all day. It seemed to be 3 people working on a “come in if you can thing.” I appreciated they were open.

We went to a restaurant and the minimum suggested tip was 25%...

They had the balls to put 25%, 30% and 35% as the options on the pad, I almost hit no tip... but I am pretty sure it isn't the waitress that put those options there. I often do tip over 25%, if I am alone and my bill isn't much I am not going to leave less that $5 for acceptable service but to make 25% the lowest tip is the fastest way to get ZERO tips.

I think the thing that REALLY (and I mean REALLY) bothers me about it is the fact that I see NOW HIRING signs at places like Jersey Mikes, Subway, etc that reads

Apply Now
$14 + Tips

like the +Tips is now part of their salary according to places that used to not offer giving tips. That's bullshite to me.

You gotta beat them to the punch. Ask for a tip for ordering from them.

Just hit no. Idk why it’s so hard. Tory don’t expect shite but hell if a handful of people feel like leaving something then cool. Move on.
