Sounds like you need to take an good aptitude test. And if you want to make over 120 thousand per year stay away from the medical side of things. (In before someone says his lpn cousin makes 200k per year).
Find out what you are really interested in and do some research. Don't go by potential income or at least make it reasonable, especially if you have no children. If you arn't married, buy yourself some nice clothes and marry rich is a good backup plan.

will you be working more hours?
are you losing any significant benefits?
What is your tolerance level for cultured people yelling at you?

I make 60k a year at a job I’m not crazy about and could leave to manage a food joint that would come with a $10k salary increase.
What is the ceiling at your current employer/industry vs ceiling at the restaurant? Which industry are you more passionate about? Do you see yourself in the restaurant industry long term?
An extra $10K sounds nice but after taxes it will only be a couple of hundred dollars a pay check. You don't mention what your current gig is but unless the restaurant industry is your passion I would stay assuming there is room for advancement.

An extra 10k per year is huge when youre only making 60k.

all other items considered equal....10k is not worth dealing with the public at large....

probably not.
But someone going from 50k to 60k is a very impactful raise vs someone going from 160k to 170k

Why not? You can end up owning one of those one day.

This is pretty ridiculous to tell someone making 60k a year, “Hey man you should try and double your income.” Yes no kidding that would be incredible, but unfortunately I can’t snap my fingers and make that happen at the moment
So you can't think of anything you can do, over ten years, do double your income? You're not trying very hard.
Maybe making a career transition to fast food is the move to do that for him. I kinda doubt it though

friend of mine bagged groceries at Albertsons when we were kids, when we graduated they liked him so much, and he liked working for them, they moved him up and offered him a full time position, he ended up climbing the ladder and retired as a senior VP for them

If you are serious, then look at Bucees rather than fastfood/restaurant.
There are under 30year old GMs making 200k+ for them and even AGM starts at 125k. As someone else mentioned, working for a smaller restaurant means you have to wash dishes, etc. when someone doesn't show up. You won't have that problem at Bucees since each store employs something like 300-500 people.
