Every 4 years complaint: NBC/Peacock coverage sucks

Just getting this out of the way on a full Day 1.
I need folks broadcasting major events to get with the Masters people and figure this shite out.

Their app is certainly sucking. Coverage keeps buffering/freezing. (I have excellent wifi)

If you haven’t used a YouTubeTV free trial, their multi view is superior. Highly recommend.

I just want a broadcast where there isn't someone narrating the action, talking over the commentators. So frustrating.

I don’t necessarily have an issue with coverage but I find it confusing, I can’t tell when various events have taken place or when to tune in for important races and events, just a bit overwhelming, the roku app for peacock has been decent for exposing all the events tho

Tirico/Manning/Snoop Dog/Clarkson were AWFUL for opening ceremony. Manning especially.
Production was extremely lacking with giving notes on smaller countries about what events they would be competing in and focusing on someone that may have a chance to medal. That was an Olympic tradition.
If you haven’t felt that NBC has had a political agenda, the good news is Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe join the Broadcast team and Late Night Studio segments this week.

The sticky has links so you can look at each day and you can also look at each sport.

Add the app theScore for all your sports scores, etc. It's the only app you'll ever use again for anything. Free. Their Olympics page has an easy to scroll and follow schedule and results page. Just scroll and it's all there at the same time.

We're renting a house at the beach and just realized it was a setting with the spectrum box.

I'm having no issues with the app. Watched a replay of some of the swimming stuff that happened early this morning and was also watching some live tennis.
Also have the Olympic app on my phone that has a daily schedule of all events.

Same, it’s been great. Woke up and watched some fencing and field hockey this morning on it.

Check out the Gold Zone channel on Peacock. It is like Redzone. They even have the hosts from both Redzone versions hosting.
I just flipped it on 20 minutes ago and I've seen part of the French basketball game, a Judo Gold medal match, and an American doing her Canoe Slalom run. Now they've gone to the Ukraine-Morocco soccer game.
ETA: They've gone to 4 events on one screen now.

quote:You are in the minority about Tirico. And directly addressing the agenda part... would you rather with Peyton and Kelly or Tara "the gays' best friend" Lapinski and Johnny Queer? I'll gladly take any shortcomings Kelly has in order to get them off my screen. DGAF about Bird & The Troll.... I'll be watching most things live or via DVR of the live broadcast (when they're airing their primitime coverage).

Yeah I’ve been watching Gold Zone all morning.
Seems to be good at moving around to the important action so far.

I really like that it exposes so many sports but doesn't linger too much on any one of them unless it's for a medal. I usually find one sport every Olympics that catches my eye. Handball might be the one this year. It reminds me a bit of games we'd play before school and during recess.

Yeah I was watching some handball earlier. Kind of like a cross between soccer and basketball.

Indoor cycling is a sport that doesn't get a lot of attention but is absurdly exciting.
