Who do you use, and are you happy with them?

Bundled with Progressive. It's replacement value, not very expensive. Never had to make a claim, however.

Better check that, it's probably "AGREED VALUE", quoted a 21 frontier this morning and there was no replacement value offered.
Progressive, GEICO, Foremost, Charter Lakes (broker), can online quote all of those if you're a rec boater.

You right, it's agreed value.

We've used Charter Lakes (broker) for a decade. Couple of claims, always paid quickly. The actual insurer has changed a couple of times.

I've been with Charter Lakes for many years and last year they raised my annual premium considerably. I shopped around and saved $700 from National Boat Owners Association (NBOA). Which also included an increase in coverages.

They sell replacement cost/purchase price policies.
So, he could be right

Be sure to read the fine print if you run offshore very far.

I have State Farm for Autos and Homeowners. My experience was not the same when I tried to bundle it with my boat. Now I needed more coverage than you but still, it was not proportional to what I got with Boat US...

I ended up going with Boat US / Geiko and the price was better. I have not used it for a claim so it's hard to say if I like them or not. LOL

Industry calls it “Agreed Value” in 24 years I have never seen a replacement value boat policy.
Most if not all will non-renew for two claims in 5 years so be judicious when filing them and they will count a claim you decide to pay out of pocket.

Progressive for about 10 years now. Was best price and went with agreed upon value. Have had to make multiple claims over the years…from lower unit replacement that grew into full transom rebuild after hitting a submerged reef at WOT, flooded boat/engine in 2016, separated cap/hull over the years. They paid out like a champ and I still have the disappearing deductible.

Cannot give them enough praise.

Just switched to State Farm a few months ago. And ironically had my first ever incident/ claim in my life on a boat. They handled the entire thing smoothly, and I got paid out and boat fixed in less than 3 weeks start to finish.
