Looking to buy a tractor ASAP. A dealer I’ve bought stuff from before now sells Branson. I’m looking at the Branson 3515H. I build gunite swimming pools and we’d use it to clean up job sites but will also use it at the deer camp. Anyone have experience with Branson tractors? My limited research looks promising.

Never used it but def get the 4wd and if you can stomach it, get more HP. That's fine for 3 to 4 acres. You will want more if moving lots of dirt or materials, or cutting much food plot

I worry about long term parts availability and manufacturer support with these newer brands . I have a Farmtrac that my dad bought several years ago. It’s a strong tractor but parts are very hard to find. They went out of business a couple years after he got it. I still have it just because it was his.
I looked at all the brands when I bought my tractor a few years back . It came down to JD and Kubota. I knew they’d be around and I could get parts down the road . I went with Kubota and haven’t regretted my decision.
Definitely for with 4wd if you can.

Definitely plan on getting 4wd. We have several 100+ HP tractors we use where we hunt but would use this on the smaller lanes. I can’t go much larger because I need to be able to get in residential yards and be able to maneuver tighter spots to clean up around the pools.

I was shopping for tractors a couple months ago. Kubota was 3 month wait and 6 months for a loader. JD was a week. I went with the JD.

It is known on the OB recommends at least a 100hp tractor to mow your yard.

I went with JD. The Branson and RK tractors were enticing but parts availability and number of dealerships swayed me. I didn't care for the pedal setup on the Kubotas.

We used to use these on the catfish farm I hated them they were gigantic pieces of shite along with Mahindra. Probably good for camp work but not the hours we put on tractors running pto aeration.

They’re pretty much a knockoff between new Holland and Mahindra. WIX makes all the filters. The ones we had some of the parts were interchangeable with New Holland parts if I remember right but it’s been years ago. I swear we had every tractor brand and model ever made.

Farmall 706,806,966, 1066,1456,1466
JD 4020, 2350, 1450, 5400, 5303, 5055, 4440
Case 685s, C70,5350s
Massey Ferguson 385 and 285
Ford/NH 3000, 5000, 5610
Farmtrac 50 long
Mahindra CF50
Kubota m4900

Getting filters to change the fluids every winter was a pain in the fricking arse

Farmalls and the old 4020 JD

They were indestructible. Could run a paddlewheel drum deep wide open and they’d never run hot. Dunno how many times the steering and brakes went out though and I’d end up in the pond

What’s the long term parts and service outlook on the Branson. People often forget that a tractor should last a lifetime. It’s not like a car, boat, SxS. Buy the dealer.

My uncle has 2 4020s. He refuses to buy anything else. He has to park one on a hill to start it cause starter went out.

The Farmtrac 435 we have is a Ford 2600 clone made in India. We just got it back running during the summer and I gave it to my 13 year old son. He thinks he’s big stuff since he has his own tractor ??. AMy driveway has never looked so good. He runs the bionic blade on it several times a week just so he can ride “Ol Blue”.
I also use wix filters for all my equipment and no issues that were caused by lack of lubrication/filters .

The older Deere green ones will, can’t say much for the rest of them.

I ended up going with the Branson 3515H. I tried my best to talk myself into another brand but the more I read and the more reviews I watched the more I leaned towards the Branson. It seems very well built. Almost no plastic on it. Heavier than most others in it’s class, higher lift capacities, very comfortable. Time will tell but I think this will be a good tractor.

I just picked up a mahindra. Going to give it hell soon and see how it is. If I like it, going to sell my JD and go mahindra

He should get a new starter they sell those at any napa store. The way the transmission on a 4020 works it will mess it up trying to crank it by pulling it off. At least that’s what I’ve always been told.

I always loved how you can jerk the steering wheel back and forth on those if the battery is low to make it turn over faster

Not familiar with Branson but that looks like a solid machine!

Nothing will ever beat a good old 806 though. Best looking, best sounding and will run forever. I really miss when tractors weren’t limited by epa regs and had raw diesel power

I’d put kubota stickers on it.
