Wouldn’t call it a rip off since they purchased the IP and everything.

And fixed everything that was wrong with the original H9. They replaced or re-engineered everything except one part. Everything else got upgraded or replaced.
The problem with the original H9 was that quality was not consistent. You could either get a great pistol that was flawless or something that would jam up every thousand rounds or so. Additionally Hudson could not keep up with the demand and couldn't keep a good stock of parts available as well. That eventually drove them out of business.

I can buy a CZ Shadow 2 for $300-400 less. Why would I ever even comsider this?
