who does it? Just wash them good and okay to eat or what? My broccoli was loaded with worms and 3 weeks ago i covered them white to kill the worms. Harvested my broccoli today, so what is normal procedure? just wash and eat?

I wouldn't have sprayed if I didn't know for sure. Now, no eat.

Rub under armpit first, the bacteria will counter the poison and bring it back to normal ph balance by using the Venturi Effect.. Proper washing can now be obtained

We always 7 dusted out plants and just washed them really good before consumption.

Yep, I've washed off white powder from maters and stuff right before eating them.

I used the liquid kind and just washed it good. Already ate a couple heads. Were still alive

If I remember correctly which is probably wrong, you're suppose to wait a day or two after application.

Tilled my garden under today. Broccoli bolted with a 4" head, cabbage and cauliflower ate up with worms. Tomatoes finally putting on fruit, didn't know I needed to plant heat wave for the fall.
Dad said when Sevin came out the salesman would stir it up in water and drink it. I'm not sure how long he lived, but dad would pick a couple days after application

Me either, but I've picked my fair share of powder covered veggies in my life. Only side effect I could say it has is mental.

I'm pretty sure it varies between plants as to how long you should wait. I'm not sure about broccoli, but I know tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, other summer stuff is all safe to eat after less than a week. I'd probably wash off the big clumps, but I'd imagine 3 weeks is plenty of time for broccoli. Hell, I know you can (supposedly) spray Malathion on tomatoes and eat them 24 hrs later, and that stuff seems way more hazardous than sevin dust.

yeller, the label should tell you how many days to wait...I think sevin is relatively non-toxic to humans, but I would read up on it to be sure...

It has the waiting periods on the label.

Not 100% sure but I think it's seven to ten days on Sevin dust before consumption. As stated above the label will tell you ow long.
