How many of you gun owners train like Lucas Botkin from T.Rex Arms?

I don't know if I can take this guy serious or not. The guy is extremely good at what he does and pretty articulate in how he describes what he's doing. And from my research, he's never been a member of law enforcement or the military.
However, I'd feel like a complete jackass running around like he does.
It's one thing to practice this way for competition shooting, but it shouldn't be anywhere near as aggressive(?) or dramatic as to what he does. But I'm not a competition shooter so I really wouldn't know. I'm just really jealous of his toys.
He's got videos of kitted out plate carriers, military helmets with mounted night vision goggles, side holsters, etc.
Also, fun fact for you gamers, he was a consultant for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019).

So, LARPer
Can't take him seriously either. Looks like a whole buncha getting his arse shot off running around in the wide open like that.

Pretty sure he trains and competes in matches that involve shooting a course of targets in the shortest amount of time like IPSC, 3-gun, or PRS.

Dude seems like a pretty big tool to me and he seriously needs to hit leg day, but I also don't think you have to be some former LE or Mil guy to go out and be good on the range and be taken seriously.
There are numerous former world champion shooters like Taran Butler who never did either and were one of the best in the world.
Where you should draw the line though, are "tactical tips" and shite like that. Because the guys with real high level experience are just going to know certain setups and tricks to use when the SHTF and you're not on a flat range or a staged competition.

This right here. Lucas is a great shooter but that's where it ends.
Gunfights are NOTHING at all like shooting on the range. Let's see you go running around with your hair on fire spraying bullets when the targets are shooting back at you. It doesn't happen that way.

It's all marketing for his brand and it's always pretty cringe. But the dweeb does shoot pretty well.

Only when I got paid to do so. I'm not into larping and I'm not putting on a damned plate carrier for a noise at 0200.

Nope. I know my skills are limited to defending my home at best and I only CCW to get myself and family away from danger not run to it. I'm not superman, I won't ever be superman, and I don't ever WANT to be superman. If I was, I wouldn't be on Tigerdroppings at 2 PM killing 5 mins at work.

He sells all that stuff. I have a few of his Ragnorok holsters and they are legit. I wish I had an SOT license with access to affordable Mp5's, Full auto shite.
