Any recs? Someone that could accommodate 5 people would be great

I am not sure if I have heard of a fishing guide that will take more than 4 on a boat. Y'all may have to split up.
eta: I can't help much on the East side of the state, my expertise (or lack there of) is on the West side.

You will probably have a hard time accommodating 5 but you can ask. You may need to split up. Any of these guys know Lake Pontchartrain. I would probably go with Dudley first but that is just my opinion.
ETA: All of them catch fish!!
Captain Dudley
Capt Mike Gallo
Capt Eric Dumas
Capt Kris Roberts

Kris Robert, Matt McCabe, or Mike Gallo. They all often share trips, so if they can’t accommodate 5, they’ll get you another boat.

Eric Dumas with living the dream charter fishing. he will put 5 in the boat and is one of the best guides i have ever used. i have fished with him 3 times over the last 5 years and always had a good time. we had a horrible weather trip few years ago with my buddy and his family from texas. eric made sure the kids caught lots of fish. 48 sheepheads later we still filled the box.

Dumas is top notch. My wife gave me a trip for Father’s Day a few years ago. The trout didn’t cooperate but we caught plenty reds, drum, and triple tail. He burned a ton of gas making sure we caught fish.

Eric Dumas or Chas would be my top 2 for the area.

I am pretty sure Chas does not take out charters. His guy for the Lake is Kris Robert.

I would highly recommend either Dumas or Kris Robert.

Correct.

I agree. They're all great, but Kris is one of the best all around fishermen I've ever known in my life.

I’ve posted my comments about Dumas before, so this should come as no surprise. Dumas caught a lot of fish at the front of the boat while trolling the causeway jigging cocahoes in mid-April while we barely caught shite on his boat.
I told him ahead of time that the purpose of this trip was to put my GF on fish. The guy can pattern and catch fish, that is not my complaint.
His observation/coaching skills are my complaint- I asked him multiple times during the charter about what he was doing differently and what we should do to enjoy same success - he said cast over there at the pilings.
He never looked at any of us to coach if we were reeling too fast or casting close enough to the pilings. Just slinging his trout in the ice box.
I know my post won’t be popular, and may even be dismissed because we caught a lot of trout or that I sound butthurt, but when you go out and the guide catches 25 and 3 people combined catch 7 I think you’d feel similar to me.
I only share this as an alternate opinion. I would probably fish with him again but I would be much more assertive if things were following a similar pattern.

I suggest Eric Dumas or Scott Walker. I used both of them on one charter and everyone was happy. Eric will also entertain you and have you laughing all day. Yeah he catches fish, probably more than you but when you have been a guide as long as he has, he will. I guarantee if you use him you WILL catch fish. He is a beast!!! Scott is also a super guy, don't know if he is doing charters right now.

I do not believe he is guiding fishing trips anymore. I think he is a captain and guide at a swamp tour where he takes tourists to see alligators and show them around the swamp.

Brooks is a great guy to spend the day with. I am biased since I have known him a long time, but having grown up fishing with him I can vouch that he knows what he is doing and has a way of always making the trip a fun experience. Give him a shot if you can’t get in with Dumas.

I’ve heard really good things about Brooks.

My wife already lined up a trip with Gallo. It’s for my birthday so she surprised me with it. Looks like I would’ve gone with Dumas if I would’ve booked it myself after reading these comments.
Thank yall
