What is the most bad arse fillet knife out there? We just burnt up another one cleaning reds, we've been going through about 2 a year.
I see lots of $100 options out there but I dont want to spend extra money on another weak arse knife when I can get a weak arse knife for $25

If you're cleaning mostly reds or tough fish, sawzall style like others said is the only real answer.

This is mine, 18V Milwaukee Filletzall. It’s a freaking beast.

Think I'll have to give that a try. I usually do the big stuff with a regular ol dexter serrated knife but itd be damn nice to have an electric rig that could handle it.

I still use a dexter serrated on bigger reds I just find it easier and an American angler electric on the smaller reds and trout works well.
The sawzall definitely works well but harder to get the feel of it. I watched a guy cut two fingers off with one trying to learn it. I lost my interest after that.

I have the new bubba electric and I really like it. It’s no electric saw but it’s def. better then the cheaper ones I’ve had in the past.

Used one today and I really like it will be my next electrical nife. African Angler is about to shite da bed and pretty sure it’s backup isn’t going to be much better. $120 nife’s auta last longer than 10 monts.

Got the new Bubba blade electric this week. Used it on about 100 trout so far in grand isle. Was pretty impressed. It has a lot of power.

Check out Hoss Fillet Knife, comes with a lifetime motor and blade warranty. There's videos of charter captains using the knife and makes filleting bigger fish a breeze.

Rapala - $50-60 at Academy. I forgot the exact model but you can tell by the price I quoted. I have cleaned many reds with mine and it is still going strong.

American angler supposed to have a 25 year warranty if it’s crapping out I would send it back. I haven’t had to send one back yet but my camp neighbors have and they had good customer support

Warranty sucks, sent one back last year and still don’t have a replacement and have another that’s crapping out before summer ends.
Nah, sitting on shitta at 3:30 this morning prior to heading out. AA don’t work long or hard.

I gave up on cleaning reds with electric knives years ago. It's just way too much bullshite to save 5 minutes.

Don't cut the ribs
This youtube video is similar to what I do with my American Angler electric knife.I start at the tail and cut forward until I get to the ribs then I cut above the ribs instead of through them. I prefer electric knives because I have to practically try to cut myself to get cut with one. I've probably cleaned over 500 reds with my current knife. I change the blades a couple times per season.
