Optics for Short barrel rifle

What is everyone's choice of optics for a short barrel AR-15? That would be a barrel equal to or less than 11.5" for me. I had a 1-6x24 LVPO scope initially, then a Sig Sauer 5X prism scope that was heavier than a brick and now I'm looking for something lighter. I'm hesitant to place a red dot 1x on the AR-15 like a Sig Sauer Romeo-MSR 1x20mm compact red dot due to lack of any magnification.
I'm currently looking at a 3x Primary Arms SLx microprism scope or a lighter 5x prism scope by Vortex. Welcome any suggestions. I'm not interested in a 3x magnifier for a 1x red dot.
Gun purposes would be for target shooting <200 yards, car gun and wild hog hunting. Currently using a Surefire RC2 mini suppressor on it.

Vortex Spitfire @ PSA for $249
If you are looking for any type of magnification, this is a pretty good deal. I have it on my 16". I bought the Vortex Venom micro red dot to put on top of it (directly mounts to the 5x) and now it's a super light system that covers everything from 25 yards to 300-400 yards and at around $500 all in.
On my SBR, I have a Eotech Holographic. You could put a magnifier on that and it'd be great, but it would cost over twice as much as the Vortex setup. The main benefit to the Eotech is eye relief. So much easier for target acquisition, but I'm reasonably limited to <100 yards without the magnifier. I'm okay with that since it's on my 300 BLK.

I have the vortex prism listed above. I think mine is 3X. Seemed like the best option.

I have a Holosun HE515CT and Sig Romeo 3x magnifier on my 300BO, I really like the setup with the Unity tactical mounts. Best of both worlds.
