Anyone have any experience with Blaze outdoor refrigerators?
I am looking at a Blaze outdoor rated with glass door for the backyard.
Fully covered and no direct sunlight.
I am curious if they refrigerator will stay cold enough for beer and other drinks.

Buy any UC fridge with a glass door from Best Buy with the longest warranty they offer. I’m on year 4 with a $500 fridge from a brand I still have never seen nor heard of, and the beers are plenty cold. No glass door though, but for the price it’s been great.

glass door is less insulated
I got an outdoor fridge at Gorman in prairieville and it’s a beast I think it was $450
I forget what brand it is but they’ll know

I have a beverage cooler from Lowe’s. It’s not outdoor rated but it has the vents at the bottom front. It has the glass door and led lights. It’s in my outdoor kitchen which is covered and it doesn’t get direct sunlight. It keeps my beer at 37 degrees, which is the lowest temp it says it can do. I don’t think you need an outdoor rated one.
ETA - I updated my location from Ohio to Louisiana to avoid confusion. I'm in North Louisiana, and we have had temps in the high 90s and low 100s. My refrigerator still keeps it at 37 degrees.

I've never bought a new fridge for outdoor use other than a mini.
You can get 1 or 2 summers out of any brand, several longer if kept in the shade

I have a coyote with my outdoor kitchen. It's a 24" I believe. Zero issues with it...
My drinks stay very cold in there. It is under my lanai

Thanks for the input. Opted for the glass door outdoor version.
Hope it's worth it.

All my clients end up getting one that matches the rest of the appliances. I’m fine with the cheap depot ones. I would get the extended warranty and adequate ventilation.

I just buy a damaged fridge at Lowe's. It's covered but still in outside temps. Has an ice maker and gone through a drought (last year) and freezes, the last two years. Works like a charm. Paid 200.00 for it but had to add the ice maker for 50.00

I got a generic one from Lowes w glass door. It was under porch, covered, no direct sun light. It sweat like crazy and couldn't keep up with SWLA summers. I took it back for same but with covered door. Works fine.
I agree the glass door looks better though.

I am going on year 3 with my Blaze outdoor under counter. No complaints. I have the stainless door with the handle. I definitely will keep drinks cold enough. I dont have the glass door. I was gonna comment that when its 100 temps like right now, sometimes even the stainless door has some condensation on it. Im not sure how the glass door would not be 100% foggy all the time. Just my thoughts. I try to keep my condensor coils clean because all sorts of debris, pet hair, grass clippings, spider webs, etc can accumulate down there when I'm blowing off the outdoor kitchen.
BLAZE FRIDGE
I searched BBQ Guys and the exact model I have is not there anymore. Mine does not have the glass shelving, just basic white wire racks and the can dispenser inside the door thing.

Ditto , got the same model as TailG8ER, 5 years, it will freeze water on the top rack. No issues yet. Solid door, no glass.

Dude... Every outdoor fridge I've ever had was just a 5-10 yr old fridge that was in my house first. The 'outdoor' fridge then lasted another 10-15 yrs outside.
Just buy something cheap or used. Anything else is a sales gimmick

This. I've had good luck in the past with buying clean used fridges, either from people I know who just wanted to upgrade or out of the newspaper.
All of them were put in areas without climate control and they lasted for years and the most I ever paid was around $200 for a full size fridge with a small freezer.

We replaced our 11 yr old fridge last year. The old one still worked, but the ice maker was dead, had cracked shelving etc.
We just stuck it out on the back porch for additional food storage. It's great for beer/drinks and having an overflow freezer. I think I'll get another cheap one when it dies.

I’ve had my Blaze since 2016. No problem until 6 months ago when it would periodically shut down. Haven’t replaced it yet cause it’s still running.
