I haven't seen this mentioned here. Greg Ellifritz added this to his weekly "newsletter." Taurus has a website where you can enter your pistol's serial number and find out if it's included in the recall: Taurus Recall Link
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
Some GX4 pistols assembled and sold only in the United States may, under certain circumstances, discharge when dropped.
Safely unload and stop using your GX4 IMMEDIATELY. Failure to observe this warning may result in injury or death to you or others.
Enter your pistol’s serial number.
The website will promptly let you know whether your GX4 is subject to this Notice. The serial number is located on the rear of the pistol. Follow the Website’s instructions.
If your GX4 is NOT covered by this Notice, please disregard it.
You may also contact us by phone at 229-515-8464 by online submission at https://www.taurususa.com/support/service-request email or by U.S. mail at Taurus International Manufacturing, Inc., 100 Taurus Way, Bainbridge, GA 39817.
If you no longer have this pistol, please forward this notice to the current owner.

bought one, traded it in within a month. i liked it, but the slide had issues staying open on last round. used it with a few others to get a DDM4v7. never saw this coming though.

I actually have a stainless PT1911 I got around 2014 that’s been great.

I have a G3C in 9mm and it functions fine except it will FTE occasionally with the steel cased ammo. Any brass is fine. I saved the steel cased ammo for my Beretta 92FS INOX. It likes any ammo.

I have one of these too and it’s been good. Shoots marginally less smoothly than my buddies Kimber. I like the look and the price

Gotcha. My Tauruses are range toys.

Mine are paperweights.
Just kidding - I'll never own one.
