They are spooned bill rosettes and they are quite beautiful from a distance and goofy up close I have a bunch of pictures of them but cant find any that I posted. They eat by swishing their heads from side to side spoon bill in the water they eat mostly small brine shrimp and that's where the color comes from.

Blind River is usually full of these creatures come summertime.
