smooth vs hammered spinners blades?

lets hear your opinions on which is better and why?
im looking to buy some of those snap on spinners for adding your swim baits to.
this is for going after redfish in the shallow oyster beds and was just curious which is better type to use and if there is any measurable difference between them that matters
is it true the hammered give off more vibration while the smooth gives off more flash?

Both will give off good flash. In my experience the dimpled blades do vibrate a little more and may run a tad slower.
FWIW, probably not enough difference to matter to a redfish.

I can't comment on redfish, but for bass there is no right answer. It's what they want that day. Spinner bait blade config is just another piece to the puzzle that may matter one day and not the other. Yes, the dimples give off more vibration, smooth gives off a different flash. Same can be said about colorado vs willow vs indiana.

probably over thinking it for reds, if they are hungry you could probably snap a dog turd on there and they would go after it. I destroy them with matrix under a cork. Dont even bother with the spinners anymore.

I don't get the opportunity to fish reds all that much but in my limited experience they seem pretty dumb. See bait, eat bait. Even then it seems like you could make a case for flash and vibration based on water clarity, conditions, etc.

Will not matter one bit.

Like the rest said, for reds probably don't matter.
A smooth blade has less resistance, where a hammered blade has more flash but more drag.

As always, you can find a great assortment of spinner baits and much more at your local Bass Pro Shops, to ensure you always have a great day on the water.

Like others said I don't think it will matter too much. my concern would be how durable the snap on spinners will be with a decent redfish. Maybe buy one of the heavier duty spinners designed for reds, and change the blade if you are inclined to do so.
