has anyone ever gone camping in this region?
Some buddies and I are talking about a trip soon there? I know they have trails to go kill time adventuring through.
Is there lakes and creeks in the area to camp near?
any suggestions on the best areas to set up shop?
TIA!!!

Last time I went was in 1976. Didn't think it was still accessible. Pretty place. Used to be a lot of skinny hiking back in the day. A few falls, don't remember any lakes.

I've never camped there, just made a few day trips.
It's a lot of fun.

If you're talking about Clark Creek (often confused with Tunica Hills), I don't think you're allowed to camp.

During hunting season?
Surely they arent planning on strolling through the woods where people are hunting. That would screw up your hunt

There's some great sites for camping just inside the Angola grounds. They really don't mind, either.

You can do plenty of hiking and camping in the Tunica hills but suggest waiting till after hunting season.
Clarks Creek isnt a far drive from Tunica hills for a day trip from camping
Surprised with the amount of Tunica Hills threads lately. Didnt know so many people were interested in that place

Here's the poop on camping in this area: No camping allowed at Clark Creek Natural Area waterfalls, but a fantastic place to hike! About 9 miles from the waterfalls you can camp in a primitive camping area on the Tunica Hills Wildlife Management Area South Tract, but there is literally nothing there except 2 porta potties. To camp there everyone must have a hunting or fishing license or a "La. Wild Stamp". There are hiking trails there but not as spectacular as Clark Creek, and during hunting seasons hunters in the woods would probably be upset to be disturbed by hikers but probably wouldn't shoot you! Or a third option is to camp at Tunica Hills Campground, a new private campground in the same area that has all the amenities you'd want - water, electricity, nice tentpads, picnic tables, grills, covered pavilion, firepits with firewood -and all in the deep woods with plenty of privacy but NO hunters! They also have cabins you can rent. Check out their website at www.tunicahillscampground.com There's so much confusion about what's up here; hope this clears it up!
