Throwing a new pair of deck boots on the Christmas list. What brand fits best and is durable?

Tried xtratuf and huks. No complaints, they’re all the same

TBH, I just cut the boot out of old waders. I did buy a pair of tidewe deck boots for 20.00 bucks 4 years ago off Amazon and the heel finally gave out on me last week.
All I notice with people wearing the xtratuf brand name boots is that they are always clean or they upgrade like it’s a fashion statement.

I got away from Xtratuf. They kept splitting on the front edges after about 6 months.

I have grundens. I don't wear them on a sport fisher, they stay by the back door. I use them around the house to cut grass, weedeat, walk to firewood rack when it's sloppy, or wear them to work when the parking lot was flooded. They're a more comfortable Cajun Reebok

They all get your socks smelling like a dead animal when you sweat in them. I don’t know how ppl fish in the summer months with them on.

One year i bought all different brands for my 3 sons and myself to use around the house and the camp. Theirs lasted a couple of years and my Grudens are still going STRONG after 5 years. Worn out is an understatement but still holding together.

I’ve had xtratuf and huk. The former keeps splitting in the toe box but have a slightly looser fit.
The latter hasn’t split in the toe but one of the grab tags ripped off trying to put the boot on. It’s a much tighter fit so putting them on and taking them off requires more effort.
If xtratuf wouldn’t split I’d always go with them because I like the fit a lot more.
I’m going to try another brand my next go around for more research.

Formerly had a pair of Xtratufs, but I am wearing Aftco’s now. They fit a little more secure, but are super comfortable and have a little thicker sole.
