It takes more electricity to power AI than anything else in the world. However, Democrats are ok with with AI destroying our power grid.

Has anyone ever thought about this? NO.

Do you truly think nobody has thought of this?

Why are you making AI a political issue...and pinning it on Democrats?

And have you ever seen the Matrix? Plenty of bodies to generate power.

Tucker made this claim on JRE but not sure I believe that in "AI's" current scale. Maybe when it evolves into the monster it will likely become, that's possible, but currently, meh.

Every major tech company seems to be developing their own AI chips in order to more efficiently compute for AI tasks. To say nobody is thinking of this is quite literally retarded.

Closing the loop...AI will help in assessing demand and redistributing power in the grid. Now the conspiracy theorists will be able to say how AI will focus power on the grid that supports AI.

Do you not think that democrats have made electricity a very political issue?

Dumb dems think electricity is magic and just appears out of nowhere and so want to crush the fossil fuel industry. Smart dems know how electricity is “made” and still want to crush the fossil fuel industry for…political reasons.

Climate science is political science.

I have seen these movies before... In one we are nothing but batteries for them and in the other they become aware and we need to be eradicated...

Yeah, I will be surprised if AI takes more than Bitcoin mining...

Sure. But the OP is implying that AI is some pillar of the Democratic Party.

My point is not everything has to be tied to a political party.

If you spend a bit of time diving into the watts per rack for AI servers, the amount of data centers currently already dedicated to AI computing AND the number of data centers in design or coming online in the next year or two...you will be quite surprised.

As far as singular data center tasks, AI has to be #1 and it isn't close. Is that enough to be the highest singular task consuming power in this country? It is possible.

It does. mainly because of the cooling requirements. Bitcoin folks operate their facilities like the wild west and have no problems just opening the windows (large overhead doors) and using natural cooling for the location. Data centers will be completely climate controlled and maintaining somewhere around 70F indoor temps.

Bitcoin folks dont really even care about backup generation a lot of times. Where as a data center is going to have anywhere from 125% to 200% onsite generation capability and massive UPS systems.

Have a downvote for not having an original thought. Listens to biggest podcast in the world, post it as your thought with no backing. Lazy.
